Help Convert Past Meridian Editions

THANK YOU for your interest in helping us convert past Meridian editions to be posted in online format. Here’s how to do so:

  1. Comment below and claim the past edition you plan to tackle (to avoid duplicate work).
  2. Open the PDF version of that edition, copy the text from each article, and paste it into a Word (or other text editor) document.
    – if an article is broken up into various columns and pages, please copy each column separately in order to avoid capturing unwanted data like page numbers, etc.
  3. Clean up unwanted characters (which may appear as question marks in a box, for example).
  4. Clean up unwanted line breaks (it may help to copy the text to a very basic text editor, like Notepad on Windows, then stretch the window very wide to identify all line breaks).
  5. Send your prepared file to mra.org webmasters ShaunRoundy@ gmail.com at Gary Farris (rmru@ garyandeileen.com).

By helping convert past content, you will help the Meridian in the following ways:

  • Easier to read on phones and smaller screens
  • More attention for past articles
  • Social sharing and commenting available
  • Search past article content
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization to drive more traffic to mra.org)
  • Increased exposure for MRA sponsors
  • Greater visibility may encourage more article submissions

Converting all past editions is too big a job for a single person to accomplish, so thank you again for helping spread the load.
