Mark Miraglia is a member of the Alaska Mountain Rescue Group since 1994. He has served as Secretary, Vice-Chair and is presently Chair of AMRG. He has served as Region Chair and board representative, is a lead evaluator in region and an out of region evaluator. Mark has served as Technical Team Leader for the last 20 years. He is currently the Vice-President of the Alaska Search and Rescue Association, a statewide organization dedicated to facilitating training and interactions between governmental and volunteer civilian Search & Rescue organizations. He served as MRA Vice President before being elected President.

Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group
Chris Ruch has been a member of the Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group since 2000 and currently serves as Chief of the team. His is also the Volunteer Coordinator for the Allegheny County Child Abduction Response team. He previously served as MRA Appalachian Region Chair and MRA board representative since 2007. He is a lead evaluator in region and an out of region evaluator, and served as MRA Secretary/Treasurer before being elected Vice President.

Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue Unit
Cora Lee Findley has been a member of the Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue Team since 2020. She is a Search and Rescue Manager, a Lead Flanker for the K9 Team and is on the Technical Rescue Team. Cora Lee did the accounting for the unit from 2019 – 2022. She has also managed the Unit’s major fundraiser for the past three years.

Jonathan Bryan has been an Alaska Mountain Rescue Group member since 2021. He is also an AMRG board member, a field team member, and a regional evaluator.

Bill is the Chief of Appalachian Mountain Rescue Team and serves as the Appalachian MRA Regional Chair as well as the Chair of MRA MedCom. He is an Emergency/ Wilderness medicine physician with 40 years of experience. He serves an instructor for the National Park Service on both Technical Rope rescue and Swift-water rescue. He is the current Local Emergency Medicine Advisor for 4 different NPS units including medical advisory committee for Great Smoky Mountains NP. And as an accomplished nature photographer, he has published 2 books and countless magazine articles. And travel to deep backcountry with his wife is the way he keeps sane in this crazy world.

Antonio M. Arizo has been a member of Ventura County Sheriff’s East Valley Search and Rescue Team since 2000. Prior to that he was a Specialist Reserve with the Los Angeles Police Department on an emergency response team for 13 years. Antonio has held the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair of the California Region along with national officer positions of member-at-large and secretary / treasurer. Antonio is currently the MRA secretary.

My Name is Sheldon Mehlhaff I live on a cattle ranch in Clearwater County Alberta. I have been an active member of Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue since 2013. I am Currently Vice President of RSAR and a member of our mountain rescue team. I am also the special operations chief for Clearwater Regional Fire Rescue Services. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and 4 kids.

Justin Bern is the Commander of the Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association (CAMRA). With 14 years of active experience in search and rescue operations, Justin has developed a deep understanding of wilderness safety and emergency response and holds certification as a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT). In addition to his role as commander, Justin is a key member of the Helicopter Emergency Response Team (HERT), a specialized subset of CAMRA, which handles high-risk rescues involving helicopter operations.

Steve Petty has been a member of the Davis County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team since 1999, has
served in various board positions including two terms as Commander. He currently serves as the
Advanced Skills Training Officer. He serves as the Region Chair and as a lead evaluator for the MRA
Intermountain Region. Steve’s background in public safety also includes time as a Firefighter, and
current status as a Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy. Steve currently works as a Business Development Manager
and technical contributor at Petzl.

Joining at the age of 14, Jack is one of the youngest known search and rescue volunteers in the state of New Mexico. Since 2014, Jack has held both officer and board positions and has worked his way to rescue leader status. Jack currently serves as the Rocky Mountain Region Chair. In May 2025, Jack will graduate from the University of New Mexico with a BS in Emergency Medical Services and a Diploma in Mountain Medicine. After school, Jack will work as a Paramedic for the National Park Service and as a Ski Patroller.
